Governor General’s Literary Awards
The Governor General’s Literary Awards (GGs) are given annually to the best English-language and the best French-language book in each of the seven categories of Fiction, Non-fiction, Poetry, Drama, Children’s Literature (text), Children’s Literature (illustration) and Translation (from French to English and English to French). International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award
The International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award is the largest and most international prize of its kind.It involves libraries worldwide, and is open to books written in any language. A list of past winners may be found here.
Man Booker Prize

National Book Award
The mission of the National Book Foundation and the National Book Award is to celebrate the best of American literature, to expand its audience, and to enhance the cultural value of great writing in America.
Giller Prize
The Giller Prize was founded in 1994 by Jack Rabinovitch in honour of his late wife, literary journalist Doris Giller, and recognizes excellence in Canadian fiction. A list of past winners may be found here.
Women’s Prize for Fiction

Rainbow Book List
The Rainbow Book List is created by the Rainbow Book List Committee of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Round Table of the American Library Association. The Rainbow Book List presents an annual bibliography of quality books with significant and authentic GLBTQ content, which are recommended for people from birth through eighteen years of age.
